KTF Sports’ driver arrives excited after the first win of the season
After the long European summer break the challenges of Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine will come back this weekend for the disputes of the 8th round of the Championship. The battles scenario will be the Red Bull Ring circuit in Spielberg, Austria, home of one of the current main teams of motorsport.
Experiencing his best moment in the Championship the Brazilian driver, Gabriel Bortoleto, 17, arrives very excited for the competition. The young boy, who competes with the technical structure of the French team R-Ace GP, won his last race, held at Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium, at the end of July.
The Austrian track is currently one of the fastest in the Championship. With very peculiar characteristics, the track has long straights of maximum acceleration and provides, historically, very busy races with several overtaking. Its layout has an extension of 4318 meters and 10 corners.
Gabriel is one of the main highlights of the current Championship. With great regularity, the driver from São Paulo has, after the 14 rounds already held, 117 points and the impressive mark of not having scored in just two races.
The official schedule of the Austrian weekend begins, unlike the other stages, on Thursday (8) with four hours of pre-collective test. On Friday will be held the two regular collective practices with 50 minutes each. The first Qualifying round will begin on Saturday at 4:50 am, determining the starting order for the first round at 8:45 am. On Sunday, the engines start at 4:08 am for the second Qualifying, while race 2 will be held at 9:30 am.
