{"id":364,"date":"2022-06-01T17:20:00","date_gmt":"2022-06-01T20:20:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gabrielbortoleto.com.br\/?p=364"},"modified":"2022-08-26T14:47:25","modified_gmt":"2022-08-26T17:47:25","slug":"gabriel-bortoleto-leaves-monaco-in-6th-place-at-freca","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gabrielbortoleto.com.br\/en\/gabriel-bortoleto-leaves-monaco-in-6th-place-at-freca\/","title":{"rendered":"Gabriel Bortoleto leaves Monaco in 6th place at FRECA"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>KTF Sports\u2019 driver scored on both races in the most iconic track in Motorsport<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last weekend, between the 27<sup>th<\/sup> and 29<sup>th<\/sup> of May, Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine \u2013 FRECA \u2013 arrived in the traditional Monte Carlo Circuit, in Monaco, for the disputes of the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> round of the Championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>United to the Formula 1 schedule, the young drivers that dream to enter the pinnacle of Motorsport accelerated a lot seeking for wins on the two races of the weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his second season in the series, the Brazilian driver Gabriel Bortoleto, member of the KTF Sports Academy of Drivers, has been doing a year of great learning and has been collecting expressive results throughout the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After having scored in the two races of the opening stage, in Monza, the young 17-year-old came back to the points in Imola, on the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> round, when he also went to the podium for a 3<sup>rd<\/sup> place on the Sunday. Thus, very excited, the driver of the French team R-Ace GP, came confident for the challenges of the streets of the famous circuit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Different from the other stages, the Monaco round had only one free practice and, after being touched, Bortoleto has able to complete only six laps and had to go on the dark for Qualifying. On Quali, when the starting grid was defined fort the races, the driver showed all of his potential and managed to get good laps, securing the 6<sup>th<\/sup> position for the Saturday race and 5<sup>th<\/sup> for the Sunday. On the races, in a different way than usual at FRECA, the drivers were very cautious and, thus, the overtaking maneuvers were pretty limited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gabriel, thinking about the Championship standings, tried to be safe during the starts. Without losing positions in any of the races, even being fast, he preferred not to expose himself to accidents, and, thus, finished both races where he started \u2013 5<sup>th<\/sup> and 6<sup>th<\/sup> places.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI believed that we had a positive weekend here in Monaco. We had a good car, but in the only practice I ended up hitting a guard-rail and, thereby, couldn\u2019t get many laps. In the Qualifying, that counts a lot here in Monaco, I managed to extract the maximum out of our equipment, securing a 5<sup>th<\/sup> and a 6<sup>th<\/sup> places. In the races, even though I was fast, I wasn\u2019t worthy to risk the good Championship we are making in one maneuver and, as such, I chose to keep the good qualifying, add important points and go on confident for the next stages\u201d, explained the young boy from S\u00e3o Paulo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the three first rounds of the Championship, among the 38 competitors subscribed, Gabriel Bortoleto appears in the 6<sup>th<\/sup> place with 49 points.
