Championship leader seeks to expand advantage in the most traditional circuit of the season

After the cancellation of the Imola stage, third round of the FIA-F3 Championship, drivers and teams stayed in Europe for the fourth stage of the year. On the streets of Monaco the 30 competitors of the season will continue in search for victory in the most traditional and challenging circuit of the world Motorsport.

Championship leader with 58 points, the Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto, arrives excited for another challenge. Even on the track with very particular characteristics, the 18-year-old claims to have prepared very intensively in recent weeks and, with this, he says he is prepared to seek another victory in the competition.

“Monaco’s weekend is always very special. In the last two years I had the opportunity to compete here for FRECA which already makes me more comfortable at least in what it says to the knowledge of the track. Although the F3 car is wider and much faster, the experience of previous years always helps. My preparation for this weekend was one of the most intense either in the physical part, meetings with the engineering team or, mainly, in the simulator. This is undoubtedly a stage where qualifying is essential since practically where you start you will finish. The chances of overtaking are practically null. I take this opportunity to thank all the support I have received in recent weeks from the fans and the media that are giving me great exposure. We’ll go all out in search of this victory”, concluded the driver who has sponsorship from Americanet and KTF Sports.

Well known to all fans of speed, the Monaco street circuit is the most traditional of the F3 calendar, as well as certainly the most difficult. The narrow streets of the principality present drivers with a great mental and skill challenge. The entire layout has 3,337 meters separated by 19 curves. Even the start in Monaco is allowed on a stretch of curve, however, with a very long radius. Throughout the lap, the drivers pass through known curves that refer to Brazilian fans the golden times of Ayrton Senna. It is worth following the weekend activities that will be 100% broadcasted by Bandsports and BandPlay.

PRACTICE WAS HELD THIS MORNING

In Monaco even the weekend schedule is private and with that, activities have already started this morning with the only free practice session. To the surprise of the teams it started to rain just before the start of practice and, along the laps, the track was drying up. With this, it was not possible for the teams to test a lot of things since the weather forecast no longer points rain to the other activities. In addition, several yellow flags and a red flag made the work of the teams difficult. Bortoleto ended the practice with the fifth time by setting the mark of 1m27s501, but remains confident to set the starting grid, which will be held in the qualifying on Friday.
