Gabriel Bortoleto will drive to Trident Motorsport in FIA F-3

17-year-old Brazilian driver Gabriel Bortoleto will contest the 2023 FIA Formula 3 Championship season with Trident Motorsport.

Trident Motorsport is delighted to announce that Brazilian driver Gabriel Bortoleto will compete in the 2023 FIA Formula 3 Championship season under its banner. Born in 2004, Bortoleto will be making his debut in the category. In 2022, he made a brilliant impression in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine, claiming one win at Spa- Francorchamps and three podiums in the first eight rounds of the season.

In early 2022, Bortoleto also entered the Formula Regional Asian Championship with one win to his credit at Yas Marina. In 2021, he had made his foray in FRECA, with one podium at Red Bull Ring. He was coming from his Formula 4 debut in 2020 when he finished fifth in the Italian championship with a win at Mugello and five podiums, two pole positions, and one fastest lap.

Bortoleto made an excellent impression on the Trident Motorsport technical staff from the very first day of postseason testing in Jerez de la Frontera, quickly getting up to speed with the Italian squad. Trident Motorsport is pleased to welcome this new, highly promising young driver and will provide Bortoleto with its maximum support to enable him to showcase his talent in one of the most competitive categories in motorsport.
